What the Stock!!! Here's why you shouldn't use stock images

Stock images seem tempting at first glance - a quick solution for visual material without the expense of a professional photographer or videographer. But, before you entrust your corporate image to the world of free stock videos and stock photos, here are some reasons why you should avoid them:

1. Lack of originality:

Stock images are often very generic. Using them can make your visual identity difficult to distinguish from others, which will make you or your company disappear into the crowd.

2. Impersonal and artificial:

Stock images can look fake and don't always manage to capture the real emotions and authenticity that make your business unique. This can result in a distance between your brand and your target audience.

Example:
You may be familiar with the Internet meme "Hide the Pain Harold." The stock photo model got this nickname because it looks like he is trying to laugh away a deep sadness with his grin, although he says he is quite happy.

3. Mismatch with brand identity:

Stock photos and stock videos are not tailored to the specific nuances of your brand. They may conflict with your brand values and message, causing confusion for your audience.

4. Agreement with other brands:

The same image may appear on multiple websites, which detracts from the uniqueness and credibility of your brand. Originality is essential to leave a lasting impression.

5. Misleading your target audience:

If people discover that you are using stock photos, it can damage their trust in your business. They want authentic, real connections, not artificial representations.

In short

Invest in original, customized images that fit your brand. This will not only leave a positive impression, but also provide a true visual representation that sets you apart from the competition. The extra work and expense will result in a stronger, more recognizable brand image in the long run.
