Stay up to date on news you or your clients find interesting. How. Through Google Alerts. Link a keyword or topic to your google account, and get automatic updates on this topic. This way you can always provide your customers with the most newsworthy news, on the cutting edge!

It's all very well blogging, but what if you have no writing talent? Well, we have something for that, too. Through The Most Dangerous Writing App, you are forced to start typing. Sounds crazy, but it works. Enter a time, say 3 minutes, and type at a stretch. If you stop typing, your text disappears. Good luck!

Of course, a good blog is not just about its length or content; it should also be well written. And what is well-written, thanks to this tool, you no longer have to think for yourself. The WordPress plug-in "Yoast-SEO" provides you with advice about your blog with a traffic light system and helpful prompts. Green is good, orange moderate, red is try again.

Installation is simple:

  • Log in to your WordPress website, you will be taken to your dashboard
  • In the menu on the left, go to "plugins" and click on "new plugin"
  • Type "Yoast SEO" into the search box
  • Click install > click activate and the plugin is ready to use

So what?

Then you're almost there. Google takes into account at least 200 factors that go into determining whether or not your blog will rank high in Google. You can't influence all of those factors, but you can use this free "Blogging Like a Pro" checklist to lay a good foundation for making your blog super findable.
