Photography apps are the focus of Hack your Brand #6 this month. Because even professional photographers edit their images. Small changes, to your lighting or contrast, for example, can make a photo come much more to life. How you place your photos is also important. So this month's Hack Your Brand tips are completely focused on free apps that will take your photos and timeline to the next level.

Viva la filter

Fitbrand ♥ Darkroom. Darkroom's advanced editing features are packed into a simple app that is easy to understand. All it takes is a few taps to turn your good photo into a great one. And if you don't want to play with each adjustment individually, Darkroom has great filters that take care of much of this convenience for you.

Great grids

grids - giant square layout

You often see people or brands with a large or creative channel split their photo into multiple parts. This makes for an eye-catching and neat look when visiting their page. How do you do this yourself? The app "Grids - Giant Square Layout" makes this a piece of cake. Divide your photo into 2, 3 or even 9 squares. Just remember when posting that you have to build the photos from right to left and from bottom to top ;-).

It is summer. It's sunny. You are sitting outside on terraces and in the garden until late. This is the ideal time to take an atmospheric photo. Nothing works more beautifully in a photo than the setting sun reflecting on a "sunkissed" skin or building. With the free Magic Hour app you never miss the most beautiful moment. In fact, this app calculates for you when the sun is at its most beautiful point and whether the sky is clear enough.

And we're not there yet...because you also get some extras:

Free: Instagram cheatsheet

Picture website and application Instagram can be immensely useful, provided you know a little about how to use it. It's not all that difficult, but true professionals are privy to tips that the average person may not know. After all, successfully amassing followers depends on a number of variables; an algorithm set up by Instagram that determines who gets to see what. To give you another helping hand, Fitbrand has created a cheatsheet for you, so that your followers don't just scroll through, but take the time to pay attention to your content. Don't cheat me!
